Raise your hand if you hit *PAUSE* during covid!

Me! I did. In fact, my whole website went offline because I missed renewing my domain name and a robot snatched it up; and I had another back surgery, and a baby, and our oldest daughter got married and had our first grandbaby….BUT! I never did stop taking portraits and loving every minute of freezing little bits of beauty forever.

Last night I woke up at 2 am, I often do because I hear it is cool to do that when you get older, and I want to be cool. So, while I was awake this time, the thought that floated into my mind - like a train right on time at Grand Central Station - was that surely, just surely, the robot snatchers were done holding my domain hostage for a crazy sum of money. So, I checked. And, dreams come true in the middle of the night! Welcome back online Meadowlark Photography!

As I brush the dust off my blog and think about where I want to go moving forward, my “plan” is as diverse as ever. I want to go wherever my clients want to go! I have been really enjoying working with seniors this fall, listening to their future plans and the uncertainty of everything as they teeter on the brink on the rest of their life. I have had the great joy of capturing several extended family sessions, some with the gravity and grace of knowing it was likely the last professional portraits they would have taken with certain loved ones. I have been delighted by new little ones added to families I have been working with for years, each one adding more sparkle and color to the family that values showing up over and over to document the fleeting moments of each milestone as they grow so fast.

Keep living in the moment. Keep chasing the Light. Call me if you’d like to capture some beautiful memories that will last forever!
